Megan won the race and broke the track record with a time of 10 minutes and 20 seconds! Not content with this achievement Megan went on to win the Great Scottish 10k Run on Sunday with a time of just over 46 minutes. Megan was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a trophy for each race.

46 pupils from S2 -S4 and 5 members of staff recently enjoyed a day out to the Edinburgh International Book Festival!

This year we attended two fantastic author events in the specially created tented village in the heart of Edinburgh. Pupils also had time to soak up the festival atmosphere, visit the book shops and cafes and get their books signed by authors Catherine MacPhail (pictured below) and Glenn Dakin. Lorna Smith of 2B1 was awarded a signed copy of Glenn Dakin's latest book for coming up with the most imaginative suggestion for possible powers of a superhero. Congratualtions Lorna!

We would like thank all the pupils who attended and represented our school so admirably. Special thanks go to Mrs Jefferson, Mrs Stein, Mrs Sammels and Mrs Christie for their help and supervision during the visit.

This will be held on 9 June and all pupils who attedned the school in session 2009/10 are eligible to have their photograph taken. pupils who have left the school during the session and who wish to be in the photograph, should turn up at the astroturf pitch at 0915 for an 0930 photograph in full school uniform.

Our S1 pupils have raised £487.22 for Readathon! All the money raised is donated equally between CLIC Sargent Cancer Care for Children and The Roald Dahl Foundation, who will use it to help sick children and their families in our local area.
